Representatives of the project consortium meet for the first time in Thessaloniki
The SPECTRA project officially launched with an inspiring two-day kick-off meeting held on 29–30 October 2024 at the Aristotle University’s Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Hosted by Dr. Dimitra Lambropoulou and the ENVMS Group at ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI (AUTh), the event brought together all consortium partners—ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI (Greece), ENEA (Italy), JOZEF STEFAN INSTITUTE (Slovenia), UNIVERSITAT AUTÒNOMA DE BARCELONA (Spain), and SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Ltd (Ireland)—to collaborate, share expertise, and establish the project’s strategic direction.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the project’s six work packages, clarify partner roles and responsibilities, and define a roadmap for achieving SPECTRA’s ambition to enhance scientific excellence in water quality, food safety, authenticity, and traceability using innovative mass spectrometry and AI-driven approaches.
This successful launch marked a promising start to the SPECTRA journey, laying the groundwork for impactful collaboration and knowledge exchange across Europe.
